American College of Gastroenterology (ACG): With its mission to promote scientific study and advance the study of gastrointestinal disease, the ACG has over 8,500 physicans from 75 countries in its membership. The ACG conducts annual meetings, offers regional postgraduate training, and advocates in the public policy area.
American Gastroenterological Association (AGA): With its dedication to the practice of gastroenterology and the advancement of science, the AGA is the oldest medical specialty society, founded in 1897, in the United States. The AGA has approximately 14,000 members, including physicians and scientists who investigate, diagnose, and provide treatment of gastrointestinal and liver disorders. The AGA's annual co-sponsored meeting, Digestive Disease Week (DDW) is held each May.
American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE): Focusing on the methodology and instrumentation of its field, the ASGE was originally founded in 1941. Its membership features over 7,500 gastroenterologists and other medical specialists from around the world. The ASGE is recognized as the premier specialty society in its dedication to member education of endoscopic practices in diagnosing and treating gastrointestinal diseases. The ASGE's annual co-sponsored meeting, Digestive Disease Week (DDW) is held each May.
