The Visible Human Journal of Endoscopy (www.vhjoe.com) is a publicly accessible, Web-based journal which emphasizes clinical case reports, reviews, images and medical anatomy. It is currently in its 6th year of publication by the University of Colorado Center for Human Simulation. Authors are encouraged to use video, audio, digital images and relevant hyperlinks to Web-based information as they feel fit.

The journal is intricately linked to the Visible Human digital anatomy dataset. Each issue includes some utilization of the Visible Human, including hyperlinks to the Interactive Atlas, featured movies, and images derived from other Visible Human resources.

Starting this year, Dr. Manoop Bhutani, Professor of Medicine at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Institution, has taken on the role as International Editor for VHJOE. Dr. Bhutani is well known as an accomplished gastroenterologist who is one of the pioneers in Endoscopic Utrasonography. He is the editor of and contributor to innumerable books and periodicals. With Dr. Bhutani in the role of International Editor, we plan on seeing cases and contributions from colleagues from around the world. We hope this exchange of ideas will be beneficial to our readers and contributors, and we truly appreciate Dr. Bhutani’s willingness to serve in this capacity.
