A glance through the archives of VHJOE shows how the journal has evolved in the past 6 years. One section within the journal that retains its roots is the Visible Human dataset in the Featured movie section. Originally this section was provided to show flip-book anatomy through regions of the VH that might have some interest to endoscopists, particularly in the region around the pancreas and around the rectum. The movies in this section often involve different aspects of the VH data. Most have been derived from the original man using programs such as the oblique maker. Some movies have utilized data from the woman. In the past few issues, the data has also involved models created from commercially available software (The ToLTech Dissector) and has been supplemented with video from EUS cases. Although these movies may have more appeal for an endosonographer, the anatomical relations are important for everyone involved in the management of gastrointestinal conditions.

This issues featured movie was made following a query we received regarding the anatomy of the pancreatic head as visualized during linear array EUS. However, as evident from the film, the relation of the duodenum to common bile duct, pancreas head and portal vein are also delineated. This may be of value for questions regarding pancreatitis, ERCP or the staging of pancreas cancer.

We will continue to provide these movies. If readers have suggestions regarding specific anatomic features for future movies, please let us know.
